06/09/2010 - Los Angeles, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The University of Southern California has reportedly received a report from the NCAA regarding its investigation into allegations of violations within the athletics program stemming from ex- Trojans Reggie Bush and O.J. Mayo.
The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday that the NCAA gave its findings to USC and could make an announcement regarding sanctions against the school as early as Thursday.
A spokesman for the school e-mailed The Sportsbook Betting Lines and said USC will not comment until the NCAA releases its findings, whenever that happens.
The Trojans could be in line for scholarship reductions, postseason bans and other penalties from the NCAA when the findings of the report are released.
Earlier this year, the school implemented self-imposed sanctions, including a postseason ban this past year, on its men's basketball program for violations of NCAA rules. The penalties came as the result of an internal investigation regarding rules violations related to Mayo, who played for the Trojans during the 2007-08 season before leaving for the NBA.
Tim Floyd was the coach of the Trojans when Mayo played for the school and last June announced his resignation in the wake of a Yahoo! Sports report that he made a cash payment to Rodney Guillory in the recruitment of Mayo, who now plays for the Memphis Grizzlies. According to the original Yahoo! story last May, Guillory received money from a sports agency for steering Mayo to USC.
The school announced the Trojans would vacate all wins during the 2007-2008 regular season and will also return to the NCAA money it received through the Pac-10 Conference for its participation in the 2008 NCAA Tournament.
Bush, a current member of the New Orleans Saints and the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner, reportedly accepted gifts in violation of NCAA policies. A report surfaced in 2006 from Yahoo! Sports that Bush's family accepted travel accommodations from an employee of a marketing agent, who later signed Bush as a client.
The Times reports USC has been awaiting the NCAA's ruling since a three-day February meeting from the organization's Committee on Infractions. The USC contingent included president Steven Sample, athletic director Mike Garrett and former football coach Pete Carroll.
Carroll spent nine seasons at USC, where he won an unprecedented seven consecutive Pac-10 titles and two national championships before leaving this winter for the head coaching job of the Seattle Seahawks.

Warner hit running back Tim Hightower on a short screen for the go-ahead, game clinching score that will forever live in Cardinal infamy.
